Lace Bugs - A Summer Plant Pest

BUGWATCH: Have you seen these pest-damage patterns on your plants? Yellow stippling on tops of leaves and black/brown spots on the bottom sides? You’re looking at Lace Bugs. Lace Bugs affect evergreen shrubs like Andromeda, Azalea, and Rhododendron. Adults are identifiable by the “hourglass” pattern on their wings.

Lacebug infestations are more commonly found on plants that are exposed to full sunlight. This is because Azalea, Andromeda, and Rhododendron prefer partial shade so please stop planting them in the sun!

Organic treatment options are available during the summer months. Contact us today if your plants are suffering from Lace Bugs.
